[He dissolves in to tears again.]

NYOO HOO HOOOOOOOO! MY POOR FRIENDS! THEY FOUGHT SO BRAVELY! THEIR DETERMINATION TO WIN WAS CLEARLY MUCH MORE THAN FALKNER'S BUT STILL!

[He sobs more, the healing jingle can just barely be heard behind them. Suddenly! He's tackled by his Shinx and Litleo!]

MY FWIENDS!!!!! YOU'RE NOT DUUUUUUST! [Annnnd, cue the tearful reunion. Papyrus hugs his partners tightly!] I'M SHO HAPPEHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!

Honestly, you didn't think to ask what would happened when Pokemon runs out of hits point? There are plenty of nurses that you could have asked before hitting the gym.
