THE GREAT PAPYRUS (

Video/Action for New Bark Town
Greetings, humans! I’m quite impressed that you have such small devices capable of connecting to the internet! Why, it's even smaller than the smallest cell phones! The portability is simply amazing!
That being said…perhaps one of you could help me find the answer to a very important question! [Papyrus’ face fills the screen.] WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO MY GLORIOUS FACE?! [Oddly enough, it seems to be a normal human face…albeit a bit close to the screen.]
IT…IT’S COMPLETELY COVERED IN…FLESH! SKIN! OTHER POSSIBLE HUMAN ORGANS! HOW CAN I, THE GREAT PAPYRUS, POSSIBLY BE ANY SORT OF MASCOT FOR MONSTERKIND WITH A FACE NOT BEFITTING OF MY TRUE SELF? That's not all! My entire body is now completely encased in this fleshy prison! Why, there's not a single bone in sight! I've not built my calcium levels to near perfection to have it all end like this!
Ah, that is not to say that I do not value humans! Not at all! Why, one of my very best friends in the entire world is human! I'm certain I make a very handsome human! However, I know that I make a much more handsome skeleton! THEREFORE! I require someone to tell me how I am to go about reversing whatever magic has made me this way at once!
Now, onto the second order of business! [Papyrus shifts the camera’s focus to a Litleo sitting patiently at his feet.] This young monster has been following me all day! They're clearly in awe of my greatness! Of course, I do tend to have that affect on others, but, they're refusing to give me their name, and their parents are surely worrying! What kind of awesome role model would the Great Papyrus be if he encouraged truancy on such a level as this? Perhaps one of you humans has seen their mother? Please, do not hesitate to inform me! I will escort them home myself! It is the least I can do for such a devoted fan!

[That was a lot of words at once, while Jade understands the confusion at suddenly having...flesh??]
Your skele...ton body is still there, it's just underneath all the skin. When we're brought to this place we're all converted to being completely normal humans. Sorry, it can't be reversed.
[...This is really awkward to explain to someone that is a monster, but--]
We're also given little guys like your friend there to protect us. You know about video games, right? This is pretty much a monster befriending and training game.

The sheer preposterousness of it all! How will anyone be able to recognize me like this?! My face is so unique that it must be shared with the world!
And what is this about training monsters!? Are you telling me I've been recruited as this little one's gym teacher?
[There's so much at a time, though.]
Considering you are announcing yourself by name repeatedly and probably sound the same as you did before, I don't think anyone you know will have trouble recognizing you. Your face is still unique even as a human, by the way, we all tend to look different.
Are we cool so far? Okay, moving on: yes, we are all recruited to take care of these little monsters. ...I will try to address this as sensitively as I can, but I have never had a dialog with a monster with communication on your level. Yes, the culture of this world is based heavily around these Pokemon and training them or whatever else activity people choose. So you could view yourself as your Litleo's gym teacher if you like, but these monsters are not sapient enough to have names of their own, so you will have to give it one.
...I suppose you can say you've adopted it?

And that monster is called a Pokemon! That one's a Litleo, to be specific. Everybody gets a Pokemon partner when they come here, so he's 'sposed to be with you!
A partner? A partner! !!!!! AN UNDERLING!
Yeah, nobody really knows what causes that to happen...anybody who had any powers before loses 'em too. Maybe it's some sorta magic, or bein' caused by a Pokemon. It could be a lotta things!
And yeah, I guess you could call it that! My starter is more like my best friend, though. He's been with me since I got here!

Over being human.
Of course Dipper is going to hit this up! Third non-human (to his knowledge) that he's met here!]
You were a walking, talking skeleton before you got here?

Also you're human now; there's no way to reverse it but sometimes we get to go back to our old bodies.
[Text and yes, it is in Papyrus font.]
I HAVE NO EXPERIENCE IN BEING HUMAN! THIS IS TOO SHORT OF NOTICE-! I DIDN'T EVEN HAVE TIME TO TRAIN MYSELF RIGOROUSLY![Text oh my gosh]

But...so it goes with the whole humanizing thing, he supposes. It's still not something he likes, nor is it something he's used to, but at the same time he'll acknowledge that he's lucky (because of course he is) to have not had quite that much to shift around externally.
(Admittedly, internally's kind of a magnificent shitshow, but you know what, we're clearly all going to enjoy our brand new cardiovascular system together.)
That said, he doesn't sound agitated when he responds; if anything, he seems a bit more amused than he should, but that's just kind of how Mettaton rolls in general - a bit flamboyant and a lot entertained at everyone's expense. So it goes.]
Well, well, well... And here I was, wondering if I was going to be the only one from the Underground brought here. What an unexpected plot development...
[Mettaton, please.]
The new look suits you, darling, don't worry about it too much.
